I have always had two passions in my life: detecting patterns and helping others. Whether it's deconstructing confusing English grammar rules for non-native speakers or creating enticing storylines to teach young ones how to do basic dance technique, I've always had a knack for instruction.
Art and expression have always been prioritized in my life, but user experience, specifically, has given me the opportunity to blend my gift of teaching with my love for design. Teaching is extraordinarily similar to UX. The goal of teaching is to offer solutions that get the majority (about 80%) of the class from point A to point B. For the outlying 20%, differentiation comes into play. It's never perfect, but prioritization is critical. The same goes for UX.
Cricut Creations
A few years ago I finally bought a Cricut (pronounced like cricket). If you've never heard of it, it's essentially a machine that cuts various materials in what ever shape you like. It's so much fun! I've gravitated toward designing various decals and using them to decorate cups. This is just one way I exercise my creative side. Take a look at these fun creations!
